This season marks a historic step for NBA Basketball School. For the first time ever, our players will compete in the Jr. NBA League in Qatar. Until now the league was open only to schools, and NBA Basketball School is among the first academies to take part. This is a big opportunity for our program and our players. Competing in the Jr. NBA League means more games, stronger competition and new chances to experience, learn and grow. Our players will get to put their training into action against some of the best young talent in the country. The Jr. NBA is the NBA’s global youth basketball program. It teaches the fundamentals of the game along with core values like teamwork, respect and sportsmanship. In the Jr. NBA League, teams represent NBA franchises, so players take the court wearing the colors of the league’s biggest teams and get a taste of what the NBA experience feels like. The season is officially underway. Draft Day has been completed, and our players have been drafted to different teams across the league. We’re proud to see them represent NBA Basketball School as they join their new teammates and start this journey. Our first game is this Friday, October 2, when our U16 boys take the court. We invite our families and community to come out, cheer them on and follow along as the season unfolds. This is just the beginning. We can’t wait to see our players compete, grow and shine in the Jr. NBA League.
