Great programs are built by great people. Ours are no exception.

At NBA Basketball School, our coaching staff brings together decades of international and NBA Basketball School experience — technical expertise, real passion for youth development, and a shared commitment to excellence. Every coach is certified under the NBA Basketball School program, trained in youth psychology and player safety, and dedicated to making sure every athlete who steps on our court feels seen, supported, and pushed to be their best.

Meet the team behind the magic.

David Olorogun — Technical Director

Some coaches teach the game. David lives it.
A former professional and semi-professional player from the UK, David has coached for over 20 years and brings five years of experience within the NBA Basketball School programme, developing players from U8 through U19 across the Middle East.

His experience includes Basketball Without Borders, Jr. NBA Coaching Clinics, NBA Basketball Operations and NBA Clinics connected to the NBA Global Games, working across events featuring the Philadelphia 76ers, New York Knicks, Boston Celtics, Denver Nuggets, Dallas Mavericks, Minnesota Timberwolves, Atlanta Hawks and Milwaukee Bucks.
Player. Coach. Leader. David brings every side of the game together, with a clear focus on raising standards, developing coaches and creating an environment where young players can learn, compete and reach their potential.

Yusuf Abubakar — Coach

Yusuf brings a wealth of experience to our program — and a passion that’s impossible to miss. A former professional player in both Qatar and Nigeria, he also represented the Nigerian Senior National Team. Since then, he’s coached in several capacities across Doha, bringing that same fire to every session. His energy is infectious, and his dedication to sharpening his craft — and his players’ — never stops.

Josette Anaswem — Coach

A former Nigerian Senior National Team and 3×3 player, Josette brings international playing experience and over a decade of coaching across Nigeria and Qatar. She represented Nigeria at the FIBA Women’s AfroBasket, FIBA Africa Beach Games and FIBA Zone 3 Nations Cup before transitioning into coaching and player development.

A development-focused coach, Josette emphasizes fundamentals, discipline, competitiveness and accountability, challenging players to raise their standards every time they step on the court.

Charli Wroe — Coach

Charli brings a guard’s instincts to everything she teaches. A British basketball player and developing coach from Manchester, she has experience across the UK, Canada and the USA. A former Great Britain U18 and U20 international, Charli developed through the Manchester Mystics pathway before competing at senior and university level.
She brings high-level playing experience, energy and a strong understanding of guard development to the next generation of players.
