My name is Sven Wehrmeyer, and I am proud to serve as the Technical Director of the new NBA Basketball School Qatar.
As a former professional player from Germany — the nation of the reigning Basketball World and European Champions — I bring a lifetime of passion for the game to this program. Over my career, I’ve coached more than 1,000 players across 23 countries, from grassroots athletes to future stars — including one who went on to become a World Champion in 2023.
At NBA Basketball School Qatar, my mission is simple: to help our young players grow as athletes and as individuals. Through basketball, we teach discipline, teamwork, resilience, and sportsmanship — the same values that shape champions both on and off the court.
